Al Madinah Calgary Islamic assembly is a registered charity with the Revenue Canada. We follow the Aqeedah of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jama’t.
Al Madinah Calgary Islamic Assembly is a community hub that offers a variety of core and auxiliary services to the Muslims and residents of Calgary and the surrounding communities. Alhamdulillah, it was inaugurated in 2005 and has been operational since then. Al Madinah Calgary Islamic Assembly owns and operates the following Mosques / Islamic Centres.
- Jamia Masjid Gunbad-e-Khizra (Green Dome)
- Green Dome Islamic School
Both located in the 4616 80th Avenue, N.E. Calgary, T3J 4B7. (Intersection of Metis Trail and 80th Ave., NE) Phone: 403-590-8200. A very well-known and respected scholar of Islam, Allama Hafiz O Qari Mohammad Azfar Ayub Razawi is the Imam and Khateeb of this Masjid. Allama Hafiz O Qari Mohammad Azfar Maulana also teaches the Nazira and Hifz Qur’an. Currently, there are 15 students in the HIFZ class, memorizing the holy Qur’an and 40 students in the Nazira (Reading) class. There are separate Qur’an classes for ladies. For women and girls a very highly qualified Hafizah of the holy Qur’an, Sister Zaheera Tariq teaches the Qur’an classes.

Objectives
To be the leading Muslim organization in Calgary in creating awareness about the teachings of Islam and provide the best facilities to the Muslims of Calgary for worshiping (Ebadaat) and learning Islam. To provide social services to the community members and engage Calgarians in interfaith dialogue for better understanding of each other. To protect the honours of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the holy Qur’an. To help in developing a better, safer and stronger Canada.
